The Inspiration Behind CVM
Heart disease is the leading cause of death for men and women in the United States.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimates that someone dies from cardiovascular disease every 34 seconds. We are here to improve that statistic, save lives, and transform care through prevention, research, and medical innovation.
Care That Keeps Improving
1976
CVM was founded with the purpose of providing Davenport, IA and Moline, IL with premier cardiology care.
1988
CVM begins to offer Echocardiography in-office.
1989
CVM opened the first electrophysiology lab in the area.
1993
CVM opened its in-house pacemaker clinic.
1997
CVM opened its first satellite office in Moline, plus a second satellite office at Trinity North. That same year, CVM also opened its Diagnostic Center, Coumadin Clinic, and an outreach clinic in Geneseo.
1998
CVM expanded, adding another satellite office, a lipid clinic in Iowa, and nuclear imaging capabilities in its Diagnostic Center.
2001
CVM moved to the Heart Institute and expanded its outreach program to include Maquoketa.
2003
CVM introduced mobile echo services, in-house Holter scanning, and the first ECP Therapy program in the area.
2005
CVM integrated with Quad Cities Heart Center, adding six new cardiologists to the surgical team.
2006
CVM implemented its first Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
2008
CVM became one of only a small percentage of practices nationwide to implement e-Prescribing.
2012
The first saphenous vein radiofrequency ablation procedure was performed at CVM.
2015
The first sclerotherapy procedure was performed at CVM.
2016
Dr. Robken performed the 2nd absorb bioresorbable heart stent procedure in the country.
2021
CVM became a founding member of Cardiovascular Associates of America (CVAUSA).
