Professional Background
Dr. Coyne received his undergraduate training at Boston University and his medical degree from Tufts University in Boston, Massachusetts. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency in the Department of Medicine at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Boston. While a Major in the Air Force, he completed his Cardiology Fellowship at Wilford Hall U.S.A.F. Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas.
From 2004 through 2024, Dr. Coyne held the position of President at Cardiovascular Medicine.
Dr. Coyne is a Fellow in the American College of Cardiology. His professional memberships include the Iowa Medical Society, the Scott County Medical Society, and the American Medical Association.
He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease. He is licensed to practice in both Iowa and Illinois, and is available for outpatient consultation and follow-up visits at the Davenport, Clinton and Maquoketa locations. He has staff privileges at MercyOne Genesis and UnityPoint Health Trinity.
